Each year, we present the TOP 10 prizes with which we wish to direct the attention of the visitors of the Fair to those presented products enriched with special design features.

The day prior to the opening of the Fair, an expert international jury consisting of designers, architects and media representatives examines and evaluates the products and selects ten best products. The selected products will be exhibited in the Foyer of Kupola hall – A for the duration of the Fair.

TOM tovarna opreme d.d. Orca sofa/easy chair Designer: Ernest Nograšek		Orca sofa/easy chair encourages the user to discover new social interactions and thus new seating positions. The solution enables simple modification of positions. The main concept of the product is clearly expressed through the design thought-process, while the product is also affordable.
MIZARSTVO URBANIJA, Marko Urbanija s.p. Urbana kitchen Designers: Lena and Tomaž Krušec		The Urbana kitchen enables the experience of new possibilities of life, with a mixture of various functions in a single space. Instead of competing with the high industrial standard, the kitchen turns to a new way of simplicity. .
SVEA lesna industrija d.d. Villa kitchen Designer: Darko Šurina		The Villa kitchen is marked by its flexible functionality of elements and ecologic use of the technology of modified solid wood.
ODEJA d.o.o. Illusion collection Designer: Lili Panjtar		The Illusion collection is the result of development consistency and the development of an independent identity of company’s products, which are manufactured from high quality materials.

MIZARSTVO BOLČIČ, Mitja Solid wood furniture collection RUJ Designer: Toni Kancilija		The solid wood furniture collection Ruj highlights the basic quality of the material – solid wood – by using diagonally glued strips.
LIP RADOMLJE, d.d. Children’s bed Dreamy Designers: Asto Dvornik, Gregor Zupan		The Dreamy children’s bed enables simple transformation and thus adapts to the growth of children. The design is affordable.
MAREMICO, d.o.o. Hybrid modular bed Maremico Designers: Valentin and Emil Marinšek		The hybrid modular bed Maremico indicates the developmental orientation of the company and sets a good standard among the Fair competition.
AMBIENTI D. C., d.o.o. Induction cooking set Multiplo-Scholtes		The induction cooking set Multiplo-Scholtes incorporates an innovative technology for food preparation.

TOP OF THE TOP 2010

The prize for the best product among the Top Ten at the 21st Furniture Fair – Ambient Ljubljana was presented to TOM d.d. for the Orca sofa/easy chair designed by Ernest Nograšek from Quadrat design studio.

In its explanation, the jury substantiated its selection: »Orca sofa/easy chair encourages the user in discovering a new social interaction and thus new seating positions. The solution enables simple modification of positions. The main concept of the product is clearly expressed through design thought-process, while the product is also affordable.«
